Director of Food Safety and Quality

We have been retained to find a Director of FSQA for an iconic brand.  This is a privately held company with a long history of producing quality products.

The FSQA Director is the subject matter expert in all aspects of food safety and quality assurance with a strong focus on regulatory compliance. This individual is a creative problem solver and strong relationship-builder capable of influencing and implementing a best-in-class food-safety culture across all internal and external sites. The FSQA Director will provide leadership, along with technical, science-based expertise in all food safety, quality assurance and compliance programs. The Director effectively collaborates across all internal facilities, external suppliers/co-manufacturers and various government entities.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• BS degree with a preference for a MS in Food Science, Biology or similar
• Minimum of 10 years of experience leading food safety and quality programs
• Leadership of food Safety and Quality over multiple plants
• Servant leadership style with a coaching and mentoring approach
• Hands-on out on the floor presence building a culture of food safety and quality

Location:  Northeastern US

Hybrid schedule is possible with 60% travel
