Senior Product Development Scientist

We have been retained to fill a Sr. Product Development Scientist for a growing food company!  This role is responsible for spearheading formulation development for customer applications for custom products. This role drives new product innovation and continuous process improvements from concept through scale-up, ensuring products meet high standards of sensory quality, nutrition, and shelf stability. In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to bring market-leading products to fruition.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, or a related field
•  Minimum 5+ years of R&D experience in the food manufacturing industry is a must
• Prefer experience with chocolate formulation, including protein integration and development of specialty coatings
• Demonstrated experience in plant trials and scaling up formulations from laboratory to full production
•  Expertise in ingredient functionality, emulsification, crystallization, and other critical aspects of food product development
