Quality Manager

Reports to the Director of Quality Assurance.  This role leads 2 supervisors, 2 leads and 6 technicians and manages the budget for the quality department. Leads food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance programs for the plant.  Facility designee for SQF Practitioner and PQCI. Implements, leads and drives a food safety and quality culture for the plant. Leads HACCP/Food Safety/Quality teams. Develops, manages and maintains the food safety and quality assurance programs including but not limited to: SQF, HACCP/Food Safety Plan (s), SOP’s, SSOP’s, and Pre-Requisite programs, sanitation verification (pre-operational inspection) and customer specific requirements. Leads and manages 3rd party audits, GFSI Certification Audits (SQF Food Safety and Quality), and customer audits.  

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Quality as a Manager or Supervisor in a Food Manufacturing Plant

  • SQF Practitioner, HACCP and PCQI certified

  • Strong skills in communication, problem solving, decision-making, prioritizing work, and organization.

  • Experience with leading audits

  • Servant leadership style
