Corporate Controls Engineer

This is a Corporate role with responsibility over all 4 food manufacturing plants.  This is a great opportunity to get multi-plant leadership of the controls side of engineering.  Develops and maintains programs to improve electrical and control systems and build capability in maintenance and operating personnel.  Ensures projects are executed in alignment with the company capital project management process. Researches and stays up to date on the latest automation technology.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • BS degree is desired, but not a requirement with applicable controls experiences

  • 5-10 years of successful controls networks ideally with food manufacturing plant experience

  • Rockwell computer and control systems hardware understanding and troubleshooting

  • Software skills – TrakSYS (or similar MES system), Internet research, Word, Excel, Outlook, MSProject, AutoCAD, RS Logix 5, 500, 5000, FactoryTalk View, FactoryTalk Batch

  • Experience in variety of manufacturing areas (packaging, processing, warehousing) within consumer products.  Food background preferred

  • Industrial network systems understanding and troubleshooting

  • Desire to learn new technologies and ability to build a business case for utilization

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and work a flexible work schedule
