Director of Engineering

Arctic Glacier Premium Ice is a well-established ice manufacturing and distribution company at the core of our business.  This highly impactful role will lead and support the execution of the company’s manufacturing strategy with equipment engineering, process optimization, capital project support, and project management.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with electrical power systems in production facilities and clearly understand the North American power supply industry from a rate and usage standpoint. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be the technical field lead, lead capacity expansion and other cross-functional projects requiring creative solutions to support the rapid growth of the company. The successful candidate will coordinate with a small team of continuous improvement engineers and collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and implement food engineering solutions and provide guidance throughout project development and implementation to meet business objectives, program goals, and technical requirements.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• BS in engineering – electrical or mechanical preferred

• 7-10 years’ experience in food manufacturing industry

• Electrical power systems in production facilities

• Understanding of the North American power supply industry from a rate and usage standpoint

• In-depth knowledge of food process and electrical systems, PLC’s, packaging systems, sanitary equipment, and facility design for food manufacturing

• 5 years of construction oversight and commissioning experience

• Self-motivated, results driven and action oriented

• Ability to conduct assessments and audits and evaluate to measure progress

• Must be open to 50% - 75% travel
