Director of Industrial Sales

We have been retained to find an experienced Sales Director who comes with food or beverage manufacturing industry knowledge.  Must be a proven hunter who can develop and maintain strong customer relationships. Must have the demonstrated ability to leverage sales tools such as CRM, developing account plans, prioritizing his/her customer base and is respected / valued by customers and colleagues. 

  • Must have experience in selling value added specialty ingredients to food or beverage companies  

  • Develops meaningful relationships and deep knowledge of key customers

  • Understands and values R&D centric strategy (with formula ownership) including sample development and deployment

  • Proven ability to generate new business via expanding existing and targeting new customers landing new accounts

  • Experienced in utilizing sales tools such as CRM, stage-gated pipeline, performance tracking, tiering customer base - to determine resource allocations, formal account planning, and utilizing analytics to track his/her performance

  • Comfortable leading capability/innovation presentations (ie PowerPoint decks) in an interactive, highly professional manner to high level positions

Location – preference for the Midwest, but we can adjust for the right candidate
